After the French Legion of Honor Medals were presented to 5 D-Day veterans, who were representing all the veterans that were to be decorated, a minute
of silence was taken to honor the fallen. Taps sounded across the green fields with the endless rows of white marble crosses, and salute rounds were fired.
A 'Missing Man' formation flew over the Cemetery, paying the ultimate respect to all D-Day casualties of that day we know now as D-Day, 65 years ago.
